Breathing: a recipe for despair
Wim Hof's breathing, in my opinion, is one of the fastest practices of getting rid of despair.

Wim Hof is a cheerful Dutchman, known under the pseudonym Iceman. He conducts unforgettable experiments on himself. But his fun and experiments are not related to the Dutch coffee shop industry. Wim uses cold to develop his body and brain: he sits in water with ice for two hours, runs a marathon in Finland in shorts for five hours at a temperature of minus 20-25degrees. But it is also not difficult for him to run for 47 hours through the Namib desert without drinking a drop of water. He is called a phenomenon and a psycho. He considers himself just a very disciplined person. His work with consciousness includes breathing, which is now known as the Wim Hof breathing technique. This man is really cool, but not because he has outstanding abilities, but because he trains every day.
The breathing that Vim demonstrates is, of course, one of the ancient practices. A variant of vipassana, the Buddha's favorite breathing practice. She is well known. Many yogis demonstrate similar achievements. They also like to sit on the ice, wrapped in wet sheets, which they dry with the fire of their bodies. Naturally, yogis and Vim do breathing practice to enter into meditation.
Scientists at Johns Hopkins Medical University from the USA conducted experiments with Vim and explained the phenomenon as follows: through breathing, it increases hormone production and increases glucose consumption in muscles. In this way, the body generates heat and maintains a constant temperature.
This practice is especially suitable for those who are in despair or in prolonged depression. Breathing is good for charging during the period of painful thoughts, when it is temporarily unclear where to go and what to do. Do this breathing. Thoughts will be cleaner and clearer.
Technique of execution
Practice for three cycles every morning, lying in bed.
Relaxing. Take a deep breath. A calm exhale. Repeat 30-40 times, concentrating on the sensations in the body. Then you take a deep breath, exhale, and hold your breath. As much as possible. As long as you can hold out. This is considered the first cycle.
Wim suggests that you mark the time so that you can see the results of the practice. But it's not necessary. There is no need to compete with anyone. Even with myself.
The first cycle of breathing — you will hold your breath for 1-1.5 minutes. On the second and third cycles, you do the same thing, only holding your breath will be longer. The fourth cycle is performed at will... But not the mind, but the body. You'll see for yourself.
At the initial stages of training, you can only do one cycle at a time. Carefully, gradually increase the effect on the body.

Attention!
This method is not suitable for everyone. It, of course, cannot be done during pregnancy, for people suffering from epilepsy and those who are susceptible to diseases related to the brain. I hope this is obvious, because breathing delays are quite long for an unprepared person. Don't be in a hurry. All the best comes out exactly when you learn not to rush. Especially in my thoughts.
